Episode 37

After the fun and frivolity of the last episode, we take some time  to do some ACTUAL work. Dirk Manning stops by to talk about Tales of MR. Rhee Volume 2, his massive 24 shows/signings in 18 weeks tour, and all of the amazingness that he has coming down the pipe in 2015.

Tony, Bruce, and Bill from Rocket Ink Studios also join us to talk about their awesome works Portraits of Poe and the Hollywood is Dead trading card set. We also pry a few tidbits out of them for projects THEY have coming soon.

As they are all independent creators, the topic of independent publishing comes quite a bit to the forefront and our friend Mike Akerley from C4 and Top Comics in Traverse City joins the conversation to add the retailer side of the story as well!

Enjoy!

Episode 36

We are live at Right Brain Brewery for the Book Signing with Dirk Manning and the guys from Rocket Ink Studios (Tony Miello, Bruce Gerlach, and Bill Pulkovski). While we are there we take some time to sit down with some of the attendees and talk nerdy! We are joined by more people than we can list, but the topics range from Gotham, Arrow and all the other comic book based TV series, to the success and failures of the independent comic scene with quite a bit of the conversation centered on Scott Snyder for some reason. I blame Collin.

Many apologies for the ups and downs in the audio. Trying to balance out a number of different people pass around 4 mics in a loud and crowded environment is really tricky! A big thanks to Mike and Doug from Top Comics in Traverse City for planning and putting on such an awesome event!

Come back later this week as we will have another new episode dedicated solely to Dirk and the Rocket Ink guys to help you get through the Black Friday madness!

Stay Nerdy My Friends!

Episode 35

Blizzcon is on and the big announcement is bigger than we could even hope!!!! Blizzard is releasing their first new IP in 17 years in the form of the new FPS Overwatch! The trailer for this game is beautiful and the gameplay looks even better!

We also hit on some casting news, an interesting take on Ghostbusters from Ernie Hudson and Phase 3.

What does the future hold for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and its relation to the MCU? We give our opinions.

All that and more in this newest episode of Digital Nerdage!
